Mother, 2 sons found dead; mental health crisis to blame, police say

A Pontiac mother was struggling a mental wellness disaster right before she and her sons, ages 3 and 9, ended up found dead from hypothermia in a subject on Sunday, in accordance to Oakland County authorities.

Monica Latrice Cannady, “believed an individual was seeking to get rid of her and every person was in on it … like law enforcement,” Sheriff Michael Bouchard stated at a Monday news conference. “Family members tried to get her assistance, but she refused and she fled with the small children.” 

Cannady, Kyle and Malik Milton were being discovered a mile from their condominium, in the vicinity of Orchard Lake Street and I-75, just after Cannady’s daughter, 10, knocked on a doorway for help, reporting her “family was useless,” Bouchard explained.

The loved ones had been wandering considering that at minimum Friday when the mom instructed the youngsters to lay down and relaxation in a discipline in the 200 block of Department Road, at the internet site of the former Lakeside Housing Projects around Crystal Lake, Bouchard reported. The surviving woman woke up and is in steady ailment in the hospital. Child Protecting Services is concerned and she’s expected to be unveiled to relatives associates.
