Lyon University has appointed Dr. Burke Soffe (sōph) of Roseman University of Health Sciences School of Dental Medicine (CODM) in South Jordan, Utah, as founding dean of the Lyon College School of Oral Wellness and Dental Medicine, Lyon School President Dr. Melissa P. Taverner declared these days.
“We are quite excited that Dr. Soffe has agreed to provide as the founding dean of the Lyon Higher education College of Oral Health and Dental Drugs,” Taverner stated. “His vision for dental education in the 21st Century entirely aligns with that of Lyon College or university and OneHealth, so we believe that that we have located the excellent companion to deliver our collective eyesight to fruition.”
Soffe will start his formal obligations on July 1 and will provide in an advisory ability for the next few months as Lyon College pursues accreditation with the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
He presently serves as assistant dean for college growth and curriculum at Roseman University CODM. He has served as a full-time college member at Roseman University CODM because January 2013 and earlier served as director of curriculum, director of medical education and medical practice workforce leader.
