Texas Legislature cuts current patient protection for transgender kids

The Texas Senate on Monday eliminated an amendment from a bill banning specific health care solutions for transgender little ones that would have exempted clients at present acquiring nonsurgical treatment for gender dysphoria.  

Senate Monthly bill 14 author Sen. Donna Campbell, R-New Braunfels, set forth the patient exemption modification to the monthly bill previous 7 days, which would have authorized individuals who are receiving hormone therapy or puberty blockers by the 90-day mark in advance of the bill’s productive date to go on their remedies. 

On Monday she moved to slice the amendment from her monthly bill.
